Seasonal Day Camp
Release Form - Student
Information Form
Circle K Horse Pavilion offers seasonal day camps. Spring, summer, and fall camps are based on the Putnam County School calendar.

The seasonal camps will feature both ground and mounted lessons and offer instruction in the discipline areas of
Western, English, Jumping, Dressage, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Halter, Equation, and Hunt Seat.
Hours are from 9am to 4pm weekdays and flexible drop off and pickup
hours are available for working parents. The camp promotes safe and progressive
riding while allowing the camper "fun both in the ring and on the
trail."
We start with the ground work, which teaches safety in handling, leading,
grooming, and riding. Also we cover proper nutrition and feeding of the
horse, proper tack and tack care.

Whether you are starting as a beginner or are already an experienced
horse person, there is an opportunity for you to begin or progress in
your horse-handling skills.
To be a good rider, you must know what a horse is. You must understand
the horse, and why it behaves the way it does. You and your horse must
become almost as one. If you understand the instincts that cause a horse
to act in a certain way, you can use that knowledge to become more skilled
as a horse person.
The camp will cover several maneuvers within the basic handle: walk,
trot, backup, circles, stops, and lateral maneuvers. Each camper learns
safety awareness, development of a secure seat, correct posture, and
good riding habits. Two hours of daily mounted instructions are available
for each camper with hands-on work accomplished both in the ring and
on the trail. Accommodations for horse owners are also available.
